I am the Chief of a very small department, an older student (58) and still was able to learn with Paul's lesson plan. I began short sentences with the Hispanic population within a short period of time. I had and still have a limited vocabulary, however, as Paul said the Hispanic people seem to be impressed that I am taking the time to learn and are very patient, even helpful to me. Would recommend highly to law enforcement, particularly for the safety aspect.

I would like to commend Lt. Kurtzweil on his Basic Spanish for Law Enforcement. The course is clear, concise and very relevant to the types of situations that Law Enforcement Officers are likely to encounter.

I, like many others, have had Spanish Classes in grade school and came away with virtually nothing of use. This class was different. Not only was the information relevant and useful, but the methods used to present it made it easy to understand and learn.

I have a Spanish speaking Victims Advocate who works for me and she has been amazed with my progress. That was also confirmed during a recent trip to Mexico. I had two different natives comment on how good my Spanish was.

I recommend this course for any Law Enforcement Officer who deals with Spanish speakers. It works!

I have long wanted to learn Spanish to be able to converse with the large Spanish speaking population that I come in contact with at work. I tried a book on Spanish for law enforcement, but the lessons were long and boring. The good stuff seemed to be at the end of the book and relied on a substantial foundation to be of any use.

The format of the course is great. Lt. Kurtzweil definitely knows what he's doing. He packs just enough into each lesson to make you feel like you're learning, but not so much so you feel overwhelmed. I finish one lesson and can't wait to get started on the next.

Although I am only two weeks into this twelve week course, I am confident I will walk away being able to communicate in Spanish. I've learned more in the past two weeks than in my entire life up to this point.

I would definitely recommend this course to anybody in the law enforcement profession who needs to communicate with their Spanish speaking constituents.

I have taken several Spanish courses in high school and in college and by far this course was more helpful. Especially in regards to retaining the material and lessons that pertained to information that we could actually use everyday. The instructor was always available for and questions that I might of had and for encouragement to continue in the lessons. The ability to speak Spanish is definitely a necessity and I am grateful to have taken this class. At times I do have to stop and think about how to say certain phrases but I have found that my Spanish flows better now. I definitely would recommend this course to others.
